Meet the Maker

I started Redneck Fancy Tack out of my love for horses and obsession with horse tack. I live on a hobby farm near Walcott, ND, with my family and my little herd consisting of four horses (Rosie, Scout, Grace and Warden), one donkey (DJ), one big lab mix (Copper) and a ragdoll kitty (Cash). In the Fall of 2022, I resigned from my role as director of a local university to chase my passion full-time.

My journey as a small business owner began in 2021, when I learned the art of making mohair tack and soon found my way into the world of leathercraft. My favorite projects combine mohair with leather and a little laser engraving to boot!

In 2023, I took Redneck Fancy on the road in my mobile trailer, traveling with the Wojo Rodeo and local Turn & Burn Barrel Racing series. The following year, I partnered with my friend Natalie, owner of No Coincidences, to offer traveling hat barsβ€”and boy did we have a blast!

In December of 2025, my husband and I bought a closed church in Christine, ND and repurposed it into the π‘πžππ§πžπœπ€ π…πšπ§πœπ² 𝐂𝐨𝐰𝐠𝐒𝐫π₯ 𝐂𝐨π₯π₯𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐒𝐯𝐞 which holds our storefront, workshop, gathering spot and classroom.Β

It has been the most amazing journey so far and I am grateful for the connections I am making. Horse people are truly the best!
